I was just wondering if anyone has been able to get the 06 special edition appearance package installed on their 04 or 05 Grand Prix and if so was it difficult or was it a direct fit?

hey, I have an 05 GP and I recently installed the SE front chin spoiler myself. GM calls it a "front fascia extension." I posted a few pics of my car after the install awhile back, here is the link: http://www.grandprixforums.net/f11/p...ride-4771.html But yeah, it was a direct fit. They send you spacers with the "front fascia extension" which take care of any gaps but i have read of some people who have used double sided tape on certain areas of it to make it fit better. all you have to do is remove the stock front fascia, which simply snap into place with plastic tabs along the top of the piece, and snap the new front chin spolier into place. I have yet to purchase the "side aero channels"(rocker panels) or the SE "rear fascia extension." The nice thing about this kit is that you dont have to remove the front or rear bumper. Hope this helps and makes sense, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

haha, no. I wish. The front fascia extension was $230.00 after tax at the GM dealership where I work. The only way I know to even find the front and rear bumper extensions is through the parts department of your local GM or Pontiac dealer. Dunno how much the rear fascia extension costs but im sure it's not cheap either. Sorry to be a downer; but "you gotta pay to play" as they say. ugh, did i just rhyme? Im slowly and painfully realizing this fact.....Good luck with the install when/if you do it!

Hey one more thing does either front or rear fascia extension have to be installed with an adhesive like the "Inferno Air Dam" or there another method?

No, you dont have to use any sort of adhesive. There is a tiny gap sometimes between the fascia and extension, but you can use 3M automotive double sided tape alond the top of the fascia where it contacts the bumper to make it fit perfectly with no gaps. The gap is barely noticeable, though. There are plastic tabs that run along the top of the fascia extensions that snap into place of where the stock front and rear valences used to be. Not hard to do at all
