I ordered a bunch of LED's to replace all the interior lighting in my 05, glove box and vanity lights included. When they work, damn, nice and bright with only a very slight tinge of blue, mostly crystal white.

Now the problem I've run into is that unless my key is in the ignition, in either ACC or ON, the LED's only respond to turning on all of them with that dial to the left of the steering column. Otherwise clicking a light, opening the glove box, or opening the vanities reveals very very dimly flickering LED's.

It probably has to do with the LED's using much less power than the original lights, but I cannot think of how I would fix that. Anyone have any ideas?

I did notice that when my old bulbs were still in my right vanity that turning those on would cause the rest of the lights to work correctly as well until I opened the door.

Also, does anyone know if 50w HID ballasts will damage an OEM pair of headlamps I ordered? Retrofitting some Lexus RX-AFS projectors with TSX-R lenses once I have the spare money

Did you order through DiodeDynamics, a vendor here? They may know what's going on.

No, I got them through super bright leds, prices were better at the time.

And thanks for the feedback, going for the HID's this winter (I'm in PA) before I get tint so I can see the sides of the road better.

Is your dome switch on off so it only does it then? that would be my guess

Exactly, if I use the dome switch all the lights turn on perfectly, but turning on individual lights only works when the car is on or in acc. Sad because they look very clean and nice :/

Not on mine? I have a dial, basically behind the left side of the steering wheel, that adjusts the speedometer's lighting intensity, and rotating it completely clockwise turns on the dome lights.

I think I may buy a few resistors soon and try wiring one in line with one of the LED's soon, I feel it has to do with the fact that LED's tend to have very low or basically no resistance...
