Yes, the PRND321 should light up. If you bought it from a dealer, take it back and tell them to fix it.

i found out how to remove the console and change the bulb.I don't want to go to the dealer because it will be a all day thing for something i can do in 15 mins.If i can do it i don't mind doing my own work on my own car.

I just did the bulb and it was a piece of cake. Four 10 mm screws down at the bottom of the console. Move the seats forward to do the back screws and move them back to do the front screws. I moved the gear shifter into the drive posision (car turn off) to help make room for lifting the console out of the way. The rear of console has 2 metal clips, you need to either pop up or i found pulling back they popped out. They are tight. I then lifted up and flipped over to the passenger seat (lay seat back). You should take some care not to yank on the wires, you do have some extra length but just be safe so you dont cause other issues. The bulb holder is a 45 dgree twist. It pops out and remove bulb. Pulls straight out (common 194 bulb 50 cents) Good time to sweep area clean and reinstall. Pop console back in.
