As the title says...just wondering if anyone has tried them in their 97-03 that uses a 9007 bulb.
Don't talk about HID's. I've had 2 sets of HID's. I know they're probably brighter. I'm just curious if anyone has tried these...

    x2 please.

Even if they're more expensive, I'd rather have these than HID's.

Tried looking for consumer reviews, but this is what I found:

"SilverStar zXe is not HID--but, it’s the whitest bulb on the market, and it gives you the look of HID when your vehicle supports a halogen light source. So, if you want that super-white look for your car, SilverStar zXe from Sylvania is an ideal choice. The bulbs use a propriety Xenon Halogen gas technology and provide up to a 4200K color."

I have seen them at autozone. They are overpriced at $60 at autozone. Just remember that any bulb with a blue tinted glass has less output that a clear bulb. I still prefer the philips x-treme power bulbs myself.

Back when I had my Silverstar Ultras (similar to these bulbs) I noticed a decent difference vs regular bulbs. However, after installing my HIDs I decided that I would never again run regular halogens in any car of mine, ever. THAT's how much HIDs own over any halogen.

Just be careful with all the "Looks like 4200K"

That usually means the output is not that good where they focus on color instead of output..

Had some '6000k' halogens.. those were terrible.. couldn't see a damn thing at night.

The philips are clear bulbs. I use the x-treme power with an upgraded harness and a set of osram nightbreakers in my aftermarket foglights. I used to have HIDs when I had the spyder projectors but went with halogens when I went back to stock lighting. With the philps bulbs you don't have to worry about the blue tinted lens. I forget the temperature rating on these.

These are some good links. I got my xtreme bulbs from
    9007XPS2 - Philips X-TREME POWER 9007/HB5 Halogen Low and High Beam Headlight with + 80% More Light. | Bulbs.com

Amazon has them for a good price as well
Amazon.com: Philips 9007 X-treme Power Headlight Bulb, Pack of 2: Automotive

This place also has a good selection of bulbs
    Candlepower Shopping Homepage

This is the only photo I have of them. Photos were taken with my iphone.

This is a photo with the xtreme power bulbs and the osram nightbrreakers. I am using hella optillux angel eye fogs.

I know you mention the upgraded harness and nightbreakers in your aftermarket fog lights, but for the headlights, it's just plug in and go? I don't need anything else besides the bulbs, right?

I discovered bi-xenon 9007 style bulbs the other day. I'm going with those instead because HID>all.

Bixenon HID's are way to confusing. Some are dual filament HID. Some are HID low and halogen high. Some are single beam and tilt. Some are single beam and telescope......why can't bixenon HID's be simple....just HID high, HID low like a normal bulb.
