Well im not sure if anyone has done this before, where you scratch away the white on the heater control knobs. it looks alot better and pretty cool if i dont say so myself. if i knew how to post pics i would.

I like mine looking all partially worn off... :C
The previous owner of my GTP painted them entirely black, along with the plate (I have a replacement one I received with the car, and had to keep referring to it early on). It looks pretty good.
Hell no, but at first dawn's light I'm out there and going to mod that shiz. Good lookin' out.
they look alot deeper red in person and look pretty sick. the iphone camera doesnt do it any justice. but i suggest you guys try it. look so good at nite and even during the they shine. but the only one you cant do is the headlight knob. its solid plastic i beleve
as u guys can see i didnt get the white off completly. and i stumble upon doing this by accident. i was armoralling everything and the white scratched off.. so i continuted to cratch it off in curiousity.. i thought it looked sick so i thought id post my findings here. lemme know what you guys think.
I do miss my manual controls in the GT, I had the white gauge overlay and the white sticker overlay on the HVAC knobs. Plus the flap actuator motors are a b!tch on these dual zones... And not to mention the dealer want almost $600 for a pair of the motors from the parts desk. I got a good handfull of them from pullapart for $5 each I think, but both of mine were broken. One and intermittent motor and the other the gear had stripped and fallen out. Cool mod BTW, I wished I'd thought of it instead of rocking the halfway chipped/wore off look for 3 years...
Oh and if you have a spare knob try some carb cleaner and a toothbrush to strip that tiny bit of white left. It ate off the red color coating on the DIC screen really well when I switched it over to blue LEDs. And I say spare knob just in case the carb cleaner eats the whole thing up???
