Yep Unfortunately it is another painted bumper thread.

I had got ran off the road over the winter and had to have another bumper put on and painted. Well the Tard that painted it painted the lower valence a different color than the rest of the car. He painted it silver instead of the Bronze Mist that it was and it just looked off, especially in the sunlight. So I decided to do something about it.

Decided to go with Black from Rustoleum Plastic Coat. I'm gonna do the rear as well but don't have the time right now. But IMO it looks much better.

Also Don't mind the lack of Fog lights. Owner prior used the fake HID's and they melted the covers so I gotta find some at the junk yard next time I go.

Also gonna paint the grills to bring the color back and make them match

    Before:

And yes those are old Brake discs. Hell get's the car an extra 4 inches with out having to bust out the Jack and stands

    Primed 2 coats

3 or so coats of Paint. Tried with clear but it didn't look right so I left it without. Doesn't require clear anyways

    And the finished product

Also thinking of VHT on the Fogs, brake lights are already done, then maybe running some Bullits since they look really good on this color car.

That made me laugh my ass off.

Also, why was the lower valence bronzemist on your old bumper? All GT/GTP front valences are a dark grayish-sliverish color stock. SE's are body color.

Discussed this with a guy on another thread. Came to the conclusion that the original was but the painter went way to light on the color this time.

That looks nice, if you wanted to be different, I think a nice deep dark red would look good.

Does painting the housings black take away from visibility at night though?

As long as you don't paint the back reflector part you should be good. Just the flat bottom and tops should be painted on the headlight, for the corner you can paint the whole thing. Use flat black, not gloss black when painting the headlights and corners.

or you can just paint the outside 'lip' of the clear lense on the headlight. it will reflect the light into the capsule and make it seem like you have a black housing. this will do nothing to reduce visibility either and you dont have to crack open the lights to do it.

Okay run that past me again. Are you saying the smooth area right around the lense or actually onto the front of the lense.

look around the lens. there is a part of the clear part of the lense that runs into the rear half of the housing. mask off the front of the headlight and paint the outer edge of it.
