hey guys i have been thinking of something that would be realy cool to get. I want to get new sun visers that have flashing red and blue lights. like a undercover police car. also i whent to auto zone and found a kit to make your headlight flash. its called a store light kit i think. but anyways the grandprix are farley used as undercover cars and i would only use it to mess with friends and crap like that. and if im running late to work lol jk. but if u guys have any idea where i could find the visors with the red and blue light oh and also the sirens that would be helpfull.and if any of u guys have done this tell me what u think. i no the consequences could be realy bad like being charged with impersenating a cop. but im a minor so i dont think it would be that bad but if any of u guys have any thoughts just let me no. thx guys

being a minor won't help you with a felony (impersonating an officer will get you jail time at 14 in most states) to get the light bar you either have to make one, or order from a place that supplies the police

the flashing lights are simple to make yourself , i used to wire up units to flash the headklights for tow trucks, it basically just takes a on/offswitch and two turn signal flashers. the red and blue lights your looking for are hard to find because they are only for emergency vehicles , if you get caught with them make sure you have bail money in your pocket as you most likely will be arrested on the spot for impersonating an officer.
i had wired up my 86 caprice with just the flashing lights with a hidden kill switch for the circuit. was out one night and my buddy decides to turn them on driving down the highway. thank god i had the kill switch hidden , i sat at the local cop shop for 2 hours while they tried to make my cars lights flash so they could bust me.

It would not be smart to get sirens or lights. You will go to jail. Even if you are a minor it's not worth it. It will still be on your record for a while and it is just a waste of money.

hey, we're not trying to be @$$holes to you here. The idea sounds like fun, i agree, but not at the cost of your freedom or juvenile record. (sorry for calling you a "juvenile" but you ARE still a minor) But this is a really bad move, IMHO. Even if you never used them on public roads, simply being pulled over with that setup ("wig-wag" lights i think they're called) in your car is going to cause you a lot of problems. And in that stiuation, the police arrest people first and ask questions later, much to your expense and dismay. You are not a cop, dont try to act like one. Oh, and don't do stupid stuff just because you're a "minor;" being underage doesn't grant you immunity and ignorance is no excuse in court.

yea, i wouldn't really risk that, unless it's not a street car. Authorities won't care if ur a minor or not. There's a chance (a big one) ur car will be impounded, seized, etc. -_-
But...u'd probably have to make the bar urself. There's some car alarm systems that can make the siren sounds somewhere, but u'll just have to look around cus i dunno. *shrugs*

Yeah, a first degree felony at that. Can you say 'Bubba's ass rape state penitentiary'?

Not to mention it's stupid as hell to even think about going down the road and lighting up red and blues for any reason when your not a police officer.

well first of all i would'nt go to a state pen. i would be tried as a minor more then likely the worst it would be is a week in jail. and how is it stupid as hell when im sure u go just as fast down the road with out lights. so actualy it would be a lot safer because people would get out of ur way.

you miss the point, at 16 you can and will go to state pen, they have done it before when it's a felony (they have tried a 13 year old as an adult before and he went to big boy prison)

All the better reason to raise the age limit required to get a drivers license and make the test x10 harder than what it is now.
