Im not expert and didn't read all the post but for all the prep and price you'll end up paying to get it perfect. Wouldn't have been cheaper to buy it brand new?? I sure hope you got it for free because it seems like you got in way over your head. My $.2

Even on the brand new hoods theres still about 200-300 of prep work so we talked about getting a new hood but considering there so expensive it was like we could but its not really going to save that much but yeah I payed way to much for this hood it probally wasn't worth $200

Fiberglass is by no means hard work to do. Neither is prep. Fiberglass it, prep it, send it in for paint.

    They may just be busy.

.... or possible put it over to the side to get the current job done, and then forgot about it

I agree 100% if your going to go b1tch at a buisness do yourself a favor and stay home instead. Funny thing is you need them otherwise you never would have walked in their door in the first place! Or you could abide by my rule # 1 refuse to pay people for what I can do with my own 2 hands! Will it be perfect prolly not. Will it cost less you damn right and I'll bet I'd buy some new tools with the money I saved. Far to many people are scared of paint. Go search the honda-tech.com paint threads and see what guys have done with plastic walls and like 200 bucks worth of materials!!
