i honestly dont want that shinny crap in my engine bay. has anyone successfully painted theirs or will i have to get it coated in ceramic black?

I've painted exhaust before with VHT rattlecans, and its turned out great. Just gotta scuff up the metal first, and spray away.
Also, if you can send me a PM with where you wanna meet in Palatka, and what all you'd like me to bring with me, and how much you can pay.
Thanks
They wont be shiny for long, Had mine on for a week, within 3 days they started looking golden brown, now the front 3 at the 90 are starting to look medium-dark blue.
A suggestion is to check the o2 fitment. I didn't so I still need to find a way to use the provided o2 bung. I had another o2 bung welded on as far forward as could be placed on the opposite side of the colloctor, as far forward as possible and I only have 1/2" clearance (I wanted to use this one for wideband, and now I must find a way to beat the firewall in to use the other o2 bung.)
I also had the provided flex flipped, and the flange from the sink trap mounted to the colloctor to allow easier repair in the future.
honestly if youre going to header paint them then it wouldnt be a bad idea to sand blast them first. my header on my bike was sand blasted, then painted and it's holding up phenomonally.
you'll have to wait till i get home. i cant get to my photobucket account at work.
or if you follow the image link in my signature you'll find it. they are on there somewhere.
thanks dude.
now, i cant see which pictures you actually stole, but if they are when they are hanging up when i was painting them (or even when they were on the bike) then they still look exactly the same (minus a small stain, my head gasket is leakin').
