^^
makes me wanna get those red led tails
yup i love mine now that they work, got them off ebay i did no work to them washed the car the other day no leaks in them.
Clear coat guys. That's what it's for.
yeah thats the other secret, like 2-3 coats of clear and some wax to help protect it all
With LED tails being the theme of this thread, I'd like to point out that I need to tint my red ones. The comment of the day yesterday was "are those giant lady bugs on the back of your car?" I don't remember who said it though.
the red ones just seem too red to me
Buy em, tint em.
Trust me, they are too red, a few guys at the meet asked if I had lady bugs on the rear end of my car. :P
Sweet lights! I'm getting some!
Light output depends on the LED bulb and the quality. I have a/m LED tails on my jeep and they are twice as bright as the stock halogens. The LED headlights in exotic cars are like $100 a bulb and are eff'ing bright. One draw back with LED's as headlights is that they don't generate the heat to keep snow/ice melted off your lenses like regular halogens. That's a problem cities face when they use them in traffic lights. Snow/ice cakes over them and drivers can't see the lights anymore.
I have HID projectors on the grand prix and LED bulbs in the fogs. The fog bulbs are cheap ebay garbage that only give me the look I want but don't do crap for light output (with the HID's I don't really need it anyway). I found some better bulbs that I'll try once these ones go. I really want a set of these tails though - they're sick. I'll probably go with black housings and leave them untinted. I got a ticket yesterday for the tinted stock tails and they aren't even very dark. LED's FTW.
:th_laugh-lol3:
just got a set two weeks ago does not fit as flush as the stockers but awesome looking, the light output according to friends and me is it is better day or night than stock and when they are off any light that does hit them really reflects and shines with them off under a street light it looked like they were on I would highly reccomend
yes but mine r black not red and the fit is ok not perfect like the stock ones, other then that they look great there is a small gap under my light that is all
If you widen the mounting holes slightly they should fit fine. As I said, slightly is all they would need to sit in properly and it shouldn't disturb the way stock or other aftermarket tails fit.
