So when looking through the forum i found that some people painted the hood liner and it turned out pretty decent so I found a emblem and blew it up, cut it out and used it as a stencil and this was my result. Let me know what you guys think

looks a little bit better in person. Bad lighting makes it a little foggy/blurry. Now I just have to repaint some of the **** inside the engine bay

Jarhead- I used Duplicolor's vinyl and fabric paint to repaint it black. The interesting part is that i used some primer over the black using a stencil i cut out then sprayed it with duplicolors red vinyl and fabric paint. Bad thing is that once i lifted the stencil up from it that it also peeled up some of the paint so I ended up taking the rest of the peeling paint up and used Duplicolor's Red caliper paint that you comes in a can so you can brush it on. Took about 3 coats to have it come out nice.

caliper paint! thought it looked familar...just did my brakes two weeks ago. I kinda thought the liner looked to clean / new so thats fabric paint there as well...I bet it took a few coats with the caliper paint, did you thin it out some thats some thick paint..like the look.

I was extremely surprised on how well the vinyl and fabric paint went on the liner. Looked like a brand new liner. I didnt thin it down at all, just put on 3 light coats of it. If i did it again i might just get a new liner cause it was hard to paint with the bends and creases in it along with the fabric being bumpy and raised in certain places

looks great! believe it or not I have a pontiac racing emblem identical to your hood liner. I plan on placing it in my dash some place. I actually had it flush mounted in the center console of my grand am and when the ga went to the junk yard I took my emblem back out haha

I went to pull mine out and found out that the hood wasnt painted behind it I plan on painting the hood or putting a custom liner in at some point but untill then I decided to paint the linar I used rustolem fabric paint and it came out looking so nice its the easyest thing I have ever done on my car like literally filling up with gas almost takes more effort than this 5 dollars and a few hours of dry time and thats it Because im like ocd about detailing all my cars I will probally do this to everyone of my hood liners

Are you going to paint anything on there as in graphics or just leave it black?
