Alright so yesterday i installed a 9007/3 55w bi-xenon 6000k VVME HID kit, somthing has gotta be wrong. i was under the impression this is a high/low beam...or a dual beam whatever that is. well 8 hours later the car looks great...black headlight housing, a nice grille kit and the headlights work...kinda. so either somthing is wrong or my expectations are wrong. My highbeam light is on in my dashboard, when i turn on the high beams nothing changes...but i think the highbeam indicater got a tad bit brighter when i turn them on. the relay harness that came with it only had one blue adaptor on the right headlight side. and the beam is kinda spotty i think, its has spots on the right side that are slittle skattered. may just be the nature of the bulb. and to top that off the simple plug n play fog lights that i did at the same time...dont even work....wtf they were just plugs, what could go wrong? we just got a snow storm so i cant post pictures yet but if it will help i will in the near future. if anyone has an idea what might be causeing this i would greatly appriciate any imput. and i tested my grounds and hooked the kit up to direct power. o and when i hit a series of bumps...the bulbs act like there shaking, i dont think its a flicker though.

i just tried to install some 1000k's, and kinda ran into the same problem. My lights looked perfect after i spliced the old bulb connect into the new HID harness. I disabled the DRLs, but i forgot to disable the lock/unlock confirmation. As soon as i locked my doors my headlights went out. It was a b#$%h to fix them. I kept burning out the relay box that is under the dash. Luckily there is an abundance of junkyards here. I just took the lights of and went back to stock. I know i didnt really answer your questions, but i thought id share my experience with putting on HID's.

Im not sure what the lock/unlock confirmation is but i dont have a problem with the lights shutting off...luckly. i live in NY so when inspection time comes around i may just throw some silverstar replacement bulbs in the car and do away with HID all together. installation of these HIDs are suppose to be plug and play...apparently not. i have lights...low beams i hope. the beams were lined up alil lower than a car next to me so i gathered from that, that they are low beams. eventualy i will be taking it back apart and either changing them back to stock or maybe finding a problem with the HIDs that i can fix. like i said before it took me around 8 hours so i wasnt rushing anything. the 9007 HID is advertized as a low/high beam bulb, well then y the hell doesnt anything change when i flick the high beams on. is there a high/low beam controler somwhere that i was suppose to plug that blue plug into? cuz i just plugged it into the blue headlight plug...and left the other blue headlight plug, unplugged.

The hi-beam indicator will stay on when the wires are crossed at the main plug (car to HID harness). You need to remove the pins from the HID harness and match them to the vehicle plug.

This is the #1 problem for those that don't read the instructions.

i did read about that in the forums but it wasnt in my instruction manual from VVME, but if it was i completely missed it multible times(my bad). your refering to the blue plug right, it has the three wires and i just have to switch the two of them and that problem will go away?

Well the lock/unlock confirmation is when the lights flash when you use the keyless entry system. If it is not disabled the rapid release of power to turn the lights on can short out the ballasts

o the keyless entry, alright im on board now. ya this gtp didnt come with that, the previous owner must have lost it. but come to think of it my 97 gt didnt flash its lights when i used the keyless entry. doesnt matter right now i dont have the remote for the gtp. it doesnt do that when you unlock the car does it, becuse if you hold it in the unlock position it will unlock both doors and i cant recall the lights ever flashing.

Yes. I swear the 4 year old Chinese kids that package these kits just randomly toss the wires in there.
