I'm the same way. I had water issues with my last retro. I kept tearing em apart and resealing em. Coudn't figure it out. Then I realized it was because I didn't seal the back around the projectors. Water was pouring in from that channel above the headlights. After I sealed that I never had any more problems.

I was reading that thread, and I noticed Dave said he used his highbeam as a turn signal since he had maxima fogs... what if those 3 hashes you 04+ have for headlights reflectors, you turned into turn signals?

You mean the cornerlight? If so, the problem with that is that it isn't easily seen in front of the car, it would really only work on the side. Plus, it is only a 194 bulb so it isn't bright enough.

well i pulled the trigger on the first set of morimoto projectors. May just do 1 set cause 2 sets may just be overkill for me. Found them for $85 on ebay plus shipping. Gonna check some local salvage yards for the lens to see if i can get them cheap. Otherwise gotta spend the $100 on ebay.

Also have a question for the driving/fog lights. I am planning on copying drunkie and placing my turn signals in the old high beam location. Is there a single lens driving/fog replacement to put back where my old turn/driving lights were. Or something that is buildable to look good in that big hole. I would love to find something i could do a yellow hid and a 6000k hid in the same housing then i could select which bulb depending on driving conditions. I may just be dreaming on that though.

Replace it with an LED, half the blinkers on the front of cars you can't see anyway, but you'll definitely see them at night.

The GP's without the fog lights (just the turnsignal/parking lamps) have the bulb centered so I think if you put a projector in those it would look awesome.

04-08 Pontiac Grand Prix Corner Light Turn Signal - LH - eBay (item 370454027464 end time Mar-06-11 20:21:01 PST)

You could so put a morimoto H1 projector in there.

My eventual total lighting setup is quad projector headlights, 35w lows, 55w highs, and 35w fogs. Not sure if I wanna go 3k fogs or 6k. I know I'm going 6k headlights cause I already have 35w 6k lows.

You mean a quad headlight set up and projector fogs? No turnsignals for you, eh Broski?

Are the aftermarket oe style headlights built alot cheaper than the actual factory ones. I Tried calling several salvage yards and they want between $120 and $150 per side. I can do the aftermarkets for $100 shipped for the pair. I was wondering if i would be better using my factory lens to do the retro if they are built way better and throwing the aftermarkets in just to have light till complete and for possibly selling it. If they are close to same quality then it does not matter. I just want the reto to be the best it can be. If it is worth it i will purchase another set of factory lights. gonna wait for the responces till i order 1 set ot another.

    ^If I'm reading this correctly...

Get the eBay replacement ones. They are not actually OEM, however, from what I have heard they are much easier to get open then the legit OEM ones.

Read that... It lists all the GXP models as "fits" and then says it doesn't fit GXPs... :x

I'm gonna see if I can make some custom halos around the edge of the fogs bright enough to use as signals. This means a bunch of front facing LEDs instead of two sidefiring ones. Should be bright as hell.
