K guys here is a shot of the cluster after I got done putting the new needles on. I think they look great but I believe my speedo is off a little bit due to me moving the pin on the gauge itself as I removed the old needle. Anyways I'll post up some night shots tomorrow. Let me know what you all think

Is that any better?? I got the needles from a trashed 07 GP at the junkyard so I snatched them up. There was another 05 GP sitting next to this one but it was burnt to a crisp. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for another set of needles. I want to change out the tach needle for a speedo needle so they'll both be the exact same length. I did have to trim a little bit off the speedo needle to make it fit under the plastic gauge lense. All in all it worked out great.

The 07 didn't have any leather at all. It was pretty ravaged through too.

Why didn't you just put another tach needle, so they're both shorter. I think that'd look better anyway.

Well I didn't put another tach needle or speedo needle because there wasn't any other GP's in the yard except for 97-03. Once I come across another gauge cluster from 04 and up on the GP I'm going snatch up the needles and see if I like the shorter or longer ones for the tach/speedo. For now I'm just going to live with it.

Was that the only modification to make them work? Just pull the old ones off and replace with these? Upcomming project this spring hehe

Still waiting for a night time shot tho

yeah basically just the needle length was trimmed slightly. Then I used some 1000 grit sand paper I had laying around to (round out ) the edge of the needle to match the other ones. Here's a quick night shot. Let me know what you think.

    Shaweeeeeeeeeeeeet

I never liked the 97-03 needles.

Can't decide which would look better.

Perhaps I'd need to see a picture with the speedo reading something other than zero.
