You can paint the front without taking them off and I doubt anyone would notice.
debadged, clear corners, 20% tint, tinted tails, vibrant performance tips, red painted calipers, Fig. grills, autometer guages, PFYC 3 pod A pillar, SLP CAI, 2.5" DP, SD Hood, SD front air damn, Gen I spoiler, 17X8 Borbet Type M rims, engine upgrades soon!

Hey Farns, what happened here? You got me all pumped up about what info you were going to pass along and then it all went quiet.

    I ask you all this:

When you decide to paint your brake calipers, what are your goals for when your finished?

Meaning...what made you decide to do it?

Why did you choose that color?

Are you after having the caliper show up better through the rim both standing still and moving?
I'm doing mine(bought the paint the other day) because it looks great...basically. And because my calipers the way they are now look like crap!

I chose silver and black because both colors compliment each other very well. Silver will still be bright enough for people to notice, but not stand out when looking at the car...either standing still or moving.

You will just have to wait and see.

I wanted to see the feed back I got from my questions, and see if the rest of you were doing the same things as others as far as your goals with a project like this.

What it boils down to is, we have a lot of do-it-yourself-ers here for sure. Everyone pretty much wants to paint them or powder coat them a different color than ugly factory black, they want to do it the easiest way, and if at all possible the cheapest way and have a great looking professional job when done if possible.

Thats enough info for me to take it to the next step with the project.

It will be all the above, and just another idea for others to copy cat off of as usual.

    Another question...

With those out there who have a set of stock single piston calipers and would like to have a dual piston caliper set up, like the F-body upgrade but do not want to go through the cost, and labor to do the swap...would you be up for a look a like caliper? You could call it rice if you want, just throwing the idea out there for those interested.

For stock brakes, and those that have upgraded to F-Body front, thats mainly what I will be dealing with is our body style, and the brakes that go along with them. Both front and rear regardless of what you have done to the calipers up front.

I would. I want upgraded brakes all the way around, but would also like something aluminum to shave some weight off.

Well it's now 1:30 and I just got in from painting the rears. I decided that since I had the mess out that I would just do the rears. Tomorrow morning I am going to put the wheels on and let the car sit for the day and hopefully wash it Wednesday because it is very dirty.

If you use the Dupicolor kit it says to wait 24 hours for the paint to fully dry before you drive the car. It says 3 hours before you can put your wheels back on.
