    I want to get a new gear shift...can I use one like in the link below?

    SILVER GEAR SHIFT,SHIFTER KNOB ELEVO RALLIART GSK95: eBay Motors (item 320480063775 end time Nov-22-10 06:37:28 PST)

    Wondering if there are any specifics on one I need to look for???

    from what ive been told and seen. a gto shifter swap is prolly the best way to go. its much better looking and it matches the grand prix.

    thats what i mean. you swap the shift lever not the whole assembly. itll fit.

    You need one with a button, my friend got one without a button and he has to move the gear shifter up and down to get it to change gears.. he got annoyed with it and switched back. Find one with a button.

    the whole assembly no, but the shifter should be easy to put on.

    You don't really need one with a button, but I'd prefer one with. I just used some electrical tape(sounds ghetto, I know) and a spacer, and mine works perfect. (No button, manual knob)
    I'll post some pictures of it later, but it feels way better, and looks a hell of a lot better than the stock GP shifter....tho not as nice as the GTO's....

    GTO shifter Direct swap? or do you have to modify it a bit?

    and btw you can go to a Dealership and order one if ya dont wanna go Ebay but Dealerships are pricey!!
