its like labeling the dump u just took "special edition"

but if instead of badges, we had vinyls like the mustang California specials (GT/CS) you would have smoother lines and still have you badges...a compromise

Strip the GTP badge, get a GTP overlay, put it on empty spot, win?

I was contemplating whether to debadge or not. Ive got a 2000 daytona and while i like that it is more rare. I bought it with 18" crome wheels that have brand new tires soo im not gonna change them for a while and with the blue/red/purple daytona badge it in my opinion looks a little too flashy. The grand prix and daytona 500 badging on the rear was already removed soo....With my last GTP i took both door badges off and put one in the grill. It actually looked really good...subtle but still there.

Debadging makes it MUCH easier to clean and wax the car.

Though in honesty I think ANY special variant of a car (Limited, Anniversary, Daytona, etc) should be kept totally clean and stock, just for the sake of preserving it...
Special editions actually do have badges on the doors next to the gtp badges.
Don't have a great pic, but this one shows them..

On a slightly sloped driveway with the car pointed downhill even.. I wasn't at home so I made due with what was available.. Car didn't fall on me so it worked well enough for me.

I think that's a pontiac anniversary badge, is it not? I've seen normal GP's with it, not all special editions are GTPs, and I've never actually seen an SE with one, and we have a ton around here.

There is a picture of said badge. 2002 was the GP 40th anniversary, that badge says Pontiac 75th, your car is a 2001.
Also, this badge is on a Grand Am: http://www.carpictures.com/photo/viewer/01JP9293524492H

Pretty sure I've debadged every car I've owned except 2. My Formula because it looked too plain without anything on it, and my old 03 sonoma cause it was just a DD

ya, just use some double sided tape, that's pretty much how they're held on from the factory.

you could but u would have to line it up really well.

your car will look better in my eyes, i think the badges on these cars stand out too much

Definetly love the look of being debugged. Even if I had a special edition, Daytona, limited edition I would still take em' off. 99% of the drivers out there don't know the difference. And even if they did, its still just a Grand Prix.

i removed everything from my doors, trunk the day i drove it home. I much prefer the cleaner look it has, but hey im not 1 for all that stick on your car s***. I totally agree with the decal badge idea though, i may look into that

Chances are it'll leave an "outline" so it really won't be that hard to line up again if you choose you want the badges back.
But you can always look at other debadged cars first to decide if you want to or not.
