so i got the hood scoops, and got the stuff to do it. here is the process

they werent originally open in the front. i cut them out, and started fixin it up.

u can see the opening good here. had a few spots to fix.

got it all fixed up, and primer on

got the black on, and cleared. sorry about the blurr. droids nightvision was on, and does that sometimes

better pic. like a mirror

hood on......

hood off

lining them up, and outlining them.

let my dad do the cutting here. 30+ years of body work there. he is a little better than me

one down

i think i shoulda just drove like this. high flow

got the holes drilled. used countersinking bits, and machine countersinking screws. 4 nylon locking nuts on the underside of each, and 6 with lock washers, and nuts.

u can see it good here.

on there, and ready to go.

still gotta line up the hood, but other than that done

all on there, and done for now. when i get ready to paint the whole car i am gonna mold the scoops into the hood, and u wont see a hard line like that. and they will be the same color as the car. i liked them angled, cuz the front tabs were bending too far to the hood when they were straight, it is perfect with the lines of the hood, the angle puts the air right over where my filter will be, and this will work out perfectly for the paint job i will do.
so in recap...
hood scoops $75 - $100 dependin where u get them. (mine were free) +
screws, and misc. materials $20 +
about 5 hours time =
a pretty decent hood for way cheaper than aftermarket. and its something i havent really seen other people do. i may be wrong on that, but idc.
i personally think its pretty nice tho, hbu?
