I actually removed the whole outer lens, they can still be cleaned up some but this is the general idea:

What do ya'll think? I did this just to hold me over until I can get some LED tails and I'll eventually do the other side.

^^^ Kinda what I was thinking. They look flimsy. Could you take that part off cause it would look real clean without them. Not sure if that'd work but it's an idea. If it does you could even send them to FLIP to get a honeycomb design done. That'd look sick.
Mine were so bad that the lens was already cracked and everything had seperated. it was a combination of a flat screwdriver, hammer/putty knife, needle nose pliers, and a dremel. Those ribs are REALLY flexible so they are kinda hard to break. I could try and remember to shoot some pics when I do the driver side light.
well... to be honest... it looks like crap
A for effort.
C for execution.
it does look kind of cool, but how in gods name are those lights not going to be destroyed after one trip to the store? they will **** fubar'd before you know it.
Time and effort wise, just buy new tail lights. About $230 or so for a pair on ebay, but they help make the GP look new again! I purchased new headlights and tail lights for mine.
Those "sexy" led ones just didn't look right to me. I like the stock tail lights!
mine look hott dont deny iti think any leds tails but the red ones looks like something youd see on a charger with 22's unless you tint them.
i personally dont like anything but the tinted stockers.. but to each his own
