    Ok so I started my interior project but I'm stuck because I can't figure out how to get the piece off from around the gear shift!!! How do I do this??? I am in mid project mode so I need quick help please!

    Anyone??? There must be a way to get that piece off around the handle!

    open the cup holder and the lid where you keep all your junk. you need to grab the dash piece up around the cupholders and just keep up really hard. It will feel like your going to break it or that it's not going to budge. it took a good amount of effort and strength to get mine out.

    i also thought i heard someone say that they took a screwdriver and pushed in the tabs that are hidden under the piece. no idea how they did that. just pull, and try to get it started. then keep pulling and work the rest of the piece up. When you get the whole thing up, u will need to put the car in drive to get the piece out. you might also need to disconnect the heated seat switch.

    I got that part off, no problem. The piece I am talking about is the part that has the letters. I attached a picture...

    see the 2 clips on either side... thats how that attaches to the base,

    you need to take off the shifter knob first tho.

    How do I get the shifter knob off? I figured that's what I needed to do but dont know how to remove it!
