    Has anyone ever taken the door moldings off the doors? I need to re-paint mine and curious before I dig into it.
    02 Grand Prix GT, Silver with all options.

    Yeah, you need to weld shut the holes for the moldings.

    it looks much better though

    So are there dowels and nuts that hold the molding on or double sided tape?

    its double sided tape with some dowels molded into the molding so that they are easy to line up. you can rip them off, but there will be holes underneath them that youll have to fill. i would not suggest using bondo to fill them and i would suggest welding them shut.

    Just doesnt look right in red. Namely because there is no body line there and it looks naked.



    See how it has the line in the door? Thats what I'm talking about. Hate that bumper though, 85+ had the better one.
