BTW I used 15k 3mm bulbs
half watt 620Ohm resistors. Dont go any higher than a half watt because they are to big to fit inside switches and dont go lower than quater watt because the resistors will get very hot.

Thanks now i can order my LED's
The sanding down the overlay to make it white isnt that hard i'd imagine thats what dremels are for lol
the HVAC knobs are a PITA tho because they are clear red plastic covered in grey plastic, it wont be easy to change everything myself but my HU is blue and im not changing that so might as well change the rest right? lol
If you can come up with a way to get rid of that red plastic on the back of the switches without scratching or damaging the clear white on the face side then please let me know.
A perfect example of this is the 5 or 3 button DIC in the 04+ has a translucent red backing to only allow red light though. Getting rid of this would allow you to change the led color.
Yeah I went with Red LED's as well. It looks crazy :D I love it. 2 out of the 5 switches have been burnt out for a while as well as the fog illumination bulb & the fog ON indicator bulb. Did everything in red. Found a set of 20 15K mcd or watever 3mm Red LEDs off eBay for about $7 or $8 shipping included. Niktronix or something similar was the seller/ store. I also ordered some resistors from a guy in WI not too far away (50 for $5, shipping included). Both US sellers & both shipments got to IL within a few days. I didn't have much soldering experience & it took a short while to figure out how to get the switch with the 2 window buttons to come out. I also had to do multiple trial & error quick runs to determine whether or not the polarity was correct. It's all done & what a crazy, fun little project. The difference between the super bright red tiny LEDs & the dull stock crap is unbelievable. I was shocked to see just how much light was emitted from those super tiny LEDs :) I highly recommend tackling this mod...
