The foam board would be able to handle the liner and give you that "raised" look your looking for. I'll probably go to Wally world and get some material (red or black) possibly some foam and go from there.Quote:

Decided to make another trunk lid mat, wanted to do this one a little bit different, this time the letters will be recessed. I'll double up on the foam board as before, with a piece cut out on the backside, can cover it with any color, type of material I want. Figured I'd try it first on a test piece before final construction. Don't think it came out too bad using the trunk liner material. Ordered more material, should have this one done mid next week.

For me, purely aesthetic. Just cleans up the trunk lid, you don't see all the holes and recesses, weighs next to nothing with the foam board..Quote:
