Is there some rubber on the front bumper?

Man I gotta do that to my snowflakes lol. Were yours the chrome or the normal alloy rims? How'd you go about doing this? Especially the lip

they where the alloy rims and i just sanded them down real nice with 220 grit then a couple of coats of black duplicolor wheel paint then a couple of coats of clear ... for the rim i did the black pain ... taped off everything but the rim with newspaper and painters tape, put some index cards around the outside lip between the rim and the tire so no paint would get on the tire painted red ... took tape off and clear coated everything

unfortunately that is rubber ... the guy who i bought the car from lived in brooklyn and had the great of idea of screwing it into the bumper with a bunch of screws ... it looked worse with it off its on the back too and it had a whoollleee bunch of wholes so i just left it on

    and thanks for the complimetns

Agreed... I hate snowflakes.. but You did a good job and they look decent. I would look for a bumper like boosting suggested.... get rid of the bumper car look.

Snowflakes only came painted and polished to my knowledge. So I'm sure if yours were polished you would just have to sand through the clear which should take just as much effort as him.

Oh I must have the polished then... because those three things that come out of the spoke are grey. So that's not chrom just polished? If so, I'm def. doing this in the summer!
