Well since I'm going to be buying a new hood (tyvm hail) Should I color match or carbon fiber? I think CF would look good on my color but it wouldnt be too ricey would it? Anyone have a CF hood? Just wondering how fitment is on them. Thx!

My bad lol
yeah id say match the color...i think carbon would make it look a little ricey...
...but like bio said depends on the color of the car as well
How sturdy is the fiberglass version. I had a really bad experience with Z3 fenders for my prelude and lost 300 bucks because of it. Trying not to make same mistake twice. And I was told hood pins was a MUST.... don't really like that idea.
I say go carbon. You don't necessarily have to leave it all carbon either. A ton of different ways you could paint/expose it. You have the same color GP as my Comp G. If I was keeping it I'd put the carbon fiber hood on it. Pics below are of Thriller's silver GP. Don't think he is a member here so far though.
He has said it fits well and has held up excellent. I don't know of any GPs with it running hood pins. It uses the stock hinges and latch. I'd guess a little higher quality than the fenders. My old silver 98 had a carbon fiber F1 hood on it years ago also. Good quality, looked nice.

yeah that looks pretty nice, but i would personally keep it the same color
I like the idea of painting it and leaving some CF accents, but I think an all CF hood tends to look a little overdone, like you're making sure everybody knows you have a CF hood. I won't use the R word, but I agree with GP2003GT above.
Not to dump on LowlyfeGTP's car (which does look good). Silver with CF looks sharp and the rims tie it in well, but I think it would look better either with some of it painted, or if you did the rest of the car in a two tone (silver & charcoal to match the CF).
Not my car. Although my 99 GTP and my old AEDC 98 GTP both have/had the same theme as Thriller's (My Greystone Metallic Comp G is stock). I agree, like I said above, a ton of different directions you can take with the paint/carbon fiber exposure.
My old 98 GTP had the carbon fiber F1 hood and used stock hinges, struts, and latches. I don't know of anyone using hood pins out of necessity with the carbon fiber hoods. There are of course some hoods that were offered in limited quantities for the 97-03 that did require hood pins as they were race hoods basically (at least one is still offered). Sorry off topic to 04+ specific, but as far as I've ever seen or experienced the carbon fiber hoods (F1, SD, and Inferno) are very good fit/finish.
CF or not your GP will look nice and you have options.
yeah that looks real nice ^!
Not all carbon fiber this and that is rice, just depends on how you go about using it, and how its installed. I have carbon fiber on my car, mainly for looks, as well as being some very useful innovative installments. I just wanted to set myself apart from everyone else, and have atleast some, one off parts on my car nobody else would have.
I think for a carbon fiber hood on anything but a black car, you should at least make an attempt to paint some of your body color into the hood so it does not look so "bolted on". I think just slapped on there screams budget rice, kinda like painting a stock steel hood black, so on the highway others may think its carbon fiber for example. I see that all the time here in my town.
~F~
I'd say color match it looks alot nicer and Scoobyydoo where did you get that lower valance
