Hey, ive got an SE that im putting the GT body kit onto - skirts, door add-ons and bumpers.
on the door pieces they use double sided tape to go on, but they also have these lil plastic pegs that seeming go into holes in the door, that i dont have.
what im wondering is if anyone has done this conversion before and if thoes pegs are needed.

Not sure, but after you put the GT body on you should swap in a GT or GTP motor.
Unless you already have the 3800.

its a budget build, so to make things easier and less poser-ish im debadging the car.

Oh ok, at least you're not gunna try and pretend its something its not.
If you ever decide to do the swap you can pick up a 3800 for a few hundred at a junkyard.

this "kit" is actually body panels and bumper removed from a GT from the junkyard - i found out today that the skirts needed this metal ladder thingy to attach, so i spent a hr finding a pair in a yard that wasnt rusted to shiit and falling apart - 98% of them were.
i test fit part of the door panel pieces today and ive come to the conclusion that im not going to drill holes in my car. one thing i got today too were these brackets that hold on thoes too lol so im thinking a bunch of really strong 2 sided tape and it will be factory looking.

has anyone put a GT rear bumper on a SE? i will eventually go dual exaust but i wanna make sure it clears my current one first. If anyone knows it would be helpful, otherwise im going to the junkers and trying the swap out there first lol

it should with the rear bumper, if you look you can see where you would mount the dual exhaust, but it should all work out, im in the slow process of doing the same

its definatly not easy as i thought it was gonna be - because the skirt mounts need to attach to the rockers, which is why im doing this, my rockers are rusted

rockers are the body part below your doors.. on most GP they are rusty... mine are pretty bad, but i figure i can make something happen to attach these things..
ive started removing surface rust on the car, so in a week or so i will begin the skirts, will keep ya posted!

take a look at my album, you will see what i mean by rusted rockers..
im going to have to come up with some creative solutions for mounting them... i dont want em falling of at the first bump i hit.

    UPDATE!!

SO ive fixed 90% of the visable rust on the car, self etch primed/paintable primed where need be.. bought new rockers which will be installed this weekend which means i can bolt on the skirts too.. I have also got the paint i need for the project $400 for all the paint. For that $400 i got paint, reducer, clear/hardener, epoxy primer ,misc measuring devices.. so im really stoked to get this going..

So the to-do list has now been significantly shortened down to:
    1: mount rockers
    2. Mount skirts
    3 Prime rockers
    4. get into the booth!!
    5. enjoy the hard work

Pics when youre done! It will look sweet, because the SE appearance looks hideous in my opinion.
