Kate- Pretty sure thats the bumper from eBay. Because that's the one I got lol. I was worrying about the arrowhead...but it looks better I think without it than with it.

I wish I could find a GP at a junk yard thats worthy of taking parts off. My local one only has completely trashed GP's.

Honestly it feels more solid than the one I pulled off. Less flimsy.

Great condition. Got mine shipped and primed for $123.xx off eBay. Had a friend paint if for cheap.

    Well worth it lol

Actually I didn't get it off Ebay. I got it from a local parts store where I have a few friends. The company deals in Ebay type parts and I get them crazy cheap. And my rear bumper wound up being a reman but both are great. The new front bumper is better quality than the original factory one on my GP!

I got both bumpers and a front fender for $145 total.

Well from what I can see in the pics you had some serious rust on those rocker panels, but in my opinion you've done an excellent job in addressing the rust. I hope your car turns out looking great, good as new. Thats some tedious work, my hats off to ya.

    Me? Yeah.

And the rust is just on the sides now at the bottom under the door. Not really spreading thankfully.

I don't really know how to tackle the sides though. I have no good junk yard sources to get good non rusted ones.

Do I need welding equipment? I don't have access to that...

yeah in order to FIX them , you'd need to cut these ones out, weld in new ones ($50 per side for parts) then paint etc..
whole job costs a crap ton to do..

my solution: remove as much as i can of the rust, spray down with a rust preventer/paint then from the junkers attach GT/GTP side skirts ( dont know how yet) and bam, rust problem solved...
most GP's out there that are winter driven have this problem, SE or not.. the diff is the GT/GTP people dont see it becuase of the plastic side skirting!

also...thinking about dechroming the trim around my door's windows and stuff...possible debadging everything besides maybe the grand prix badge on the trunk as well.

    Thoughts?

and I've decided to get the carbon fiber euro altezza tails in case anyone cares. probably won't be for a few weeks though. Gotta pay back my debt from this much so far... lol

Only thing is I'm not that kind of person that likes shiny stuff lol

I like that darker look. So I think I'd like it dechromed and such. I wish painting my car wouldn't be so damn expensive. I want a real nice black on it or a real dark charcoal gray type color.

I think a charcoal type color would be fantastic. Totally unique and very gorgeous.
