Now that I know I can swap out my ugly front bumper cover for the good looking one found on most GP's 97-03...

I talked to a guy who actually did this, and he told me the only thing that I'll need basically to reinforce it is front fender plastic that I could probably find on a junked out one if I need it...what exactly is it and is it needed? I'm just swapping out the cover...

    Thanks for any help!

    p.s.
-Just replaced my back bumper from the ugly SE one to the GT/higher dual exhaust one *$200*
-In the process of finishing a dual exhaust *about $150*
-Waiting for my front bumper thats more common *$125* and a contact that will paint for $75

Once that's complete, I'm getting Halo's for the front and debating on whether to go all out and get those nice LED tails or some Altezzas...the lights will be after I do some audio stuff to my car. So that's the plan...

Nice man, is it the 3800? If not you should swap the gtp engine in.
    1998 GP GT - Topswap - Ported M90 - N* - 4" FWI - Poly Mounts - 3" DP - 180 Tstat - Alt. Rewire - 3.29 gearing - Full Exhaust - Custom Tune

you stole my plans LOL.. although im adding the side skirts too and painting the car myself..
i dont know what he means by "reinforcement" they are fine as is unless cracked/gouged.

btw, whatcha doin for the dual exhaust?? im thinkin i wanna do that myself at somepoint..

end goal would be a GTP engine.. but lack of funds/skills will hinder that one

Oh I've got the 3800 for sure. Eventually maybe in a year I'll do the sides. I'll just buy the bumper anyways and throw it on lol. I think it'll be fine.

As far as the dual exhaust, me and my buddy are gonna work on it. I found a part at autozone which is basically a pipe replacement for a GTP exhaust system that runs the same way mine does but just splits at the end into a Y. The part is $70. So I'll get 2 new hangers, some clamps and some cheap aftermarket mufflers that are NOT dumb ricer or obnoxious to complete that.

I'm thinking about posting a thread on here showing the changes I've done when I do complete them. Atleast from stock to the GT look I'm getting. I should hopefully get the exhaust done by monday or tuesday and should get that front bumper complete in a week to 10 days...

ive got a collection of stuff going for my GT conversion.. the skirts cant just bold on BTW, theres a bit of work needed, a metal "ladder" system is needed to hold em up, good luck finding one not rusted lol at least in my yard it was hard..

i wish i had the 3800 that would be nice.. but alas no...
