Long story short, I know someone with a 97 GP that opened her rear door and went to close it and it wouldnt shut. I know she had a carwash done the other day and went through the dryer since I said it should be ok. Im guessing the latch is stuck open.

Any ideas on how to tackle it?

should be able to just use a screw driver to open it. Stick behind the latch and i pull back. I used my finger when it happend to me.

I actually do this on purpose when I'm working on my interior and I don't want the lights to be on.

All you have to do is stick a screwdriver in the latch where it would usually accept the loop, and pull the door handle, then the screwdriver.
    Signatures suck!

Easy fix. It was frozen. I just went there and closed it cause the latch came down by then. LOL. Thanks guys.
