    the only thing that is good about having a car apart that far is that you know exactly how everything fits and goes together. good work. make that thing look pretty.

    put a 98+ engine/transmission in it while youre at it.

    '97 motors and transmissions are junk...the tranny's are weaker than piss since they are vacuum powered...

    i thought all 3800 series 2 sc motors were exactly the same, not sure about the tranny, but all works perfect right now with 100,000 on it, so im not going to anything with them right now.

    if it is a GTP then the engine and transmission are the same as 98+ stuff, but the blower is a little different with the vacuum tree and you have the crappy 97 PCM that has funny quirks to it since that was the first year they had it. i would definitely switch to a 98+ blower, PCM, and wiring harness.

    i wouldnt switch the blower due to the fact it has an extra vacuum tree. also, they have a different abs which i dont like.

    does anyone know where i can buy the reveal moulding that goes around the back glass, mine got stretched when taking it out, gm wants $75 for it
