Heres my work i dont know why people say vht sucks...with the right prep work and time you can get nearly the same results as clear and black for wayyy cheaper...i havent even gave the clear coat a good polish yet and they look good already...

Perfect darkness had a pair with less vht decided to go a lil darker...love it

    Right side

    Left side

lights on (not brake lights) in broad day light still real visible for how dark they appear off

    night shots

    on

    braking

    reverse

if you used dupli color acrylic enamel clear...i used this in the past it turns foggy white when sprayed on but when it dries it dries clear....bake em in the over for 5 min on 200F and that fogginess should go away..

Most likely you didnt let the paint cure long enough and they mixed. I let my lights dry over nite before applying the clear, then waited again over nite for the clear to dry before buffing.

You can clear them at any time after the coating has dried.

I usually let things dry overnight then check them after about 12 hours to be sure that nothing aggitates it. It helps to do a light wetsand between coats too , keeps things smooth and professional looking.

My one taillight has small hairline cracks in it. Think VHT will hide this if I go dark enough?
