ok guys so i drove with my projectors on tonight for the first time and had them adjusted all the way up and they made a clean line of light but it was way to defined on the road and too close...i shouldnt be able to see a line on the road that should disappear in the distance and i should be able to see far in front of me and with these lights it wasnt working....so i decided to remove the brackets and projector pod and see what the cut off it like....turns out they made it too high i ended up taking a 1/8 inch off the top of the cutoff plate and it made a world of difference...here how i did it....
Measure a 1/8 inch from the top of the cut off plate and draw a line...then cut if off carefully be sure to cut it clean otherwise your cutoff will be choppy...after i cut mine with tin snips it had gotten a lil bent on the edge so i put it on a flat surface and lightly tapped it flat again with a hammer....i then sanded the top and sides of the new edge i made (the closer you can get the edge look like a level knife edge the better, the projector is a magnifying device so any minor imperfection in your new edge and it will be magnified and you'll see a bumpy cutoff line so make sure you take your time making it as clean as the original edge...pics below
here is the cut off i ended up with...bright as hell on pitchblack roads and still not in other peoples eyes
and finally the halo action
