I have the ge nighthawks now, and they suck, can't drive at night in the rain, and high beams add a foot if I'm lucky
hey, I have used these and they burnt out on both my cars at exactly 2 years a week apart from each other... weird... I am really looking into some HID at this time,, but they were great while they lasted, ten times better than stock..... slightly blue too.
Dont they look white
th regular silverstars are blue glass, but the ultras have a clear glass
There is 2 ways they go in right side up and upside down.
I had this happen to be when i first started out with Piaa's. Drove around and hardly any light on the road used the brights and it was fine. finally look at em and noticed there was a mark on the bulb fliped the bulbs right side up was a night and day difference.
my brights are useless, the piaas are a universal type they don't have the locating tab if I recall
all 9007 have the tab. thing is with them they are spaced evenly apart. so yes you can put them upside down
I flipped mine and they wouldn't go in straight, when I got it in a different direction light output was horrible, so they are in right (I checked orientaion before anyway)
if you guys didn't know, all of the silverstar bulbs have a one year warranty.. i get mine at canadian tire(haha) but they have no problem giving me new ones every time...seems to be just the one fog light that burns out every 3-4 months or so
have had em' in my cav for more than 2 years! there amazing. and if u don't want hids.........
i'd get em'!

these are the silverstar ultras in the fogs and headlights. i like the output. close enough to hid and not enough to get me in trouble up here!
They're not all that to be honest, I'd say do HID's or just get some nice bright blue bulbs. I have Euro Design bulbs in mine and they look more white than blue and their brighter than the Silverstar Ultra's (I put one of each in), and they look a hell of a lot nicer.
I put a pair of ultras in the dims on my white riviera, light color looked good with the pearl paint. Only lasted a couple of months.
I would say they werent brighter but they had a much better pattern than the cheapies I have now. But I will not pay what they ask for them again.
I switched out my silverstar ultas for some xeon bulbs off ebay. Just the cheapies and they suck. I sold my silverstars already so now i am stuck with these junk bulbs for now. Any advice on which bulbs to go with other than the HID's those are out of my price range.
Had them in my blazer and now in the gp and i think they are nice bulbs. Havent had problems in either vehicle. Light output is marginally better but the color is very white compared to the stockers.
I have had them in my car for almost a year now. They were a great improvement over stock for brightness and color.
I put them in my wifes GP and I thought it was a hella lot better than the stock bulbs, and just for the record the "cool blue" bulbs are not that cool.
