Thread: Decided to tint my LED tails

i like em. you know the only problem i got with mine are that they are a little too dark if you ask me. during the day, u can barely see them.

how did you tint em?

ya i would like to know as well

my guess is the method ive considered which is a heat gun and window tint.. they dont look VHT

you cant put window tint on the tails. they are contoured too weird to pull it off.

you can make VHT look really good and thats probably what it is. i used it on my tails, but i didnt go about making them really nice and smooth.

im pretty sure its possible....

also how does flip do it if he hates VHT so much?

it might not be window tint, but it certainly looks like it...

professional automotive black and clear mix. the does any color you want too. you can mix in some of anything. hes an actual painter.

makes sense, im just saying there it is in video form, ive also read many googled pages talking about it..

i cant say that its window tint or saran wrap lol but he's definatly putting a film on a tail light

To tint them, I used VHT and then used some clear coat.

95% sure you can order it from summit. otherwise look for offroad trucking places.
