I've got about $1500.00 to spend on my GTP, but I'm having a TERRIBLE time chosing between doing the SD hood and SD rear spoiler or 18" wheels and tires. Please post your opinions of which you would do first if you just bought your GP.

id go with the hood and spoiler first and look around later for wheels and tires. you can usually find a better deal on wheels and tires than hoods.

now if i just had the money for either....

if it wasnt an automatic front wheel drive four door grandmas car it would be really nice
Mods?? What the f#ck is a mod??

wheels. they make the car stand out A LOT more than a wing and hood do.

Wheels and tires, but come one everyone is going with bullits. I have to say don't go that route you have the money for a nice set of ANYTHING besides bullits.

That would be stockers, but there are some nice rims out there that aren't bullits. I actually like my stockers and plan on keeping them for the cars life

imo the body parts stick out more, so do that first. I think the stock spoiler is the firt thing to go, it looks like a hamburger patty. With 1500 you might be able to get it all if you shop right. craigslist some rims, and usually you can find someone with nice rims and some tread left on the tires for cheap. just make sure they are the right offset and lug pattern. as for the body the parts you can call stinger fiberglass and talk to the owner. He is really nice and might hook you up with a deal. Just for your knowledge he makes pfyc hoods and he sells the sd one for 600 bucks. Luckily for me he is located only 2 hrs away so i dont have to worry about the freight charge. Either way you can see if he will ship the hood and wing for a 1k and then you have 500 to play with to go get rims and tires or at least go towards it. Thats assuming you can paint. Good luck.

The hood and spoiler are about $950.00 (actually gonna get the package with the sd front air dam from PFYC for $1000.00) plus the shipping quote is $155.00, so that's $1155.00 and the quote from the body shop just for the hood and spoiler is $350.00 which includes blending the fenders and trunk lid in to match the new paintwork. So that's $1505.00 by my calculation just for the body mods. By all means if you know how I can get the wheels/tires for free or save some money I'm all ears.

I should have the wheels by mid summer, but I think I am going to do the body mods first. Getting the windows tinted on the 14th. I do like the gen 1 spoiler, but I think I like the sd spoiler better. I have decided to definitely NOT go with bullitts, but how do you all think the 07-09 GT500 wheels would look on a GTP?

My wheels and tires cost me $400 and you can find some from that to about $500. Also look around on ClubGP and GPONA for a used hood or other used parts, trust me you might be able to find some of the stuff you want.

gt500 wheels arent exactly the style that would look good on a grand prix, but you could pull it off. the offset might be a little problem though.

Since there are soo sooo many different wheel designs out there than the 3 choices of hoods and spoilers available for our cars, I say body mods first, it actually changes the appearance of the car itself. It will stand out more. Then take your time to find the perfect set of wheels for your car.

as far as gt500 wheels go, I think they only look good on gt500s. Not that good looking of a wheel
