So I did massive amounts of reading on this forum, through google that lead me a few different places as well. I'm in the middle of the retrofit, I think I just got the shroud cut down enough to fit in the housing, (that alone was a PITA) the thread sticks out a decent amount out the back,(ignore the wires in the first few pics, that was to see how far back I can get the projector) I'm not using a silicone washer on the inside nor outside, and I'm still having a tough time getting enough thread sticking through the housing to where I can move it around for aiming and I can't get the nut far enough down to put on the h1 bulb holder socket thing(3 screw prong thing) Any suggestions would be appreciated! thanks.

Gotta remember the headlights do not sit perfect straight on the car so the projectors do not sit straight forward inside the capsule if that makes sense. They have an angle to them, so the projector still sits at a angle inside the capsule and then went mounted on the car will point pretty straight.

I'll post a few pictures of how I cut mine and if you can get into the album you can see the rest.

Angle projector more towards the middle of the car? I can't get my bowl flush on the inside of the housing like you did...

I had my projectors pointing more towards the center of the car and I did use the silicone washer on the inside.

It's been 3-4 years since I made those so there are other steps I would have taken if I kept the car or things I would have tried to get better. Cutting the shrouds and making those fit is the hardest part of it I thought. I still have that set in a box somewhere haha, no idea what I'll use those projectors on someday.

Do you remember if you had to shave a little of the projector housing? The top left (projector facing you) hits the top of the headlight housing. I'll try n face it more to the middle and see what I can get, damn work is getting in the way of my projects lol thanks

If you're talking about the shroud, I trimmed more than you did to make mine fit.

I may have even smoothed these out a little more but I don't remember.

Oh yeah, I still have the little slits on the top and bottom of mine. Thought it'd be obvious if they weren't there... Maybe not? Idk

Cut the shrouds like your last pic, cut the slits out the top and bottom, and smoothed them down, put the silicone washer inside and was able to move it back almost all the way, looked inside the housing there is a little nub for the stock bulb, I cut that off smooth, silicone washer now sits flush and I'm able to tighten the nut to get the bulb holder screwed into the projector bulb... Thanks a ton man!! I'd post updated pics but I'm too tired from welding all day...

It did for a while lol, I bet the car is in a junkyard by now or in a very run down state.

Been like over 2 years now since it's been gone.
