So few weeks ago , I locked my keys in my car and I got one of my friends who's a tech and he use some tools to get my door open. But the tools that he use slightly bent my driver side front door at the top corner. In result, when it rains really hard, I get rain drops on me like every 2 mins. Could a trip to a body shop fix it or not ? The bent portion is not bent immensely but ever soo slightly, you can hardly tell but I still getting wet on the inside.

I've got a similar issue but the door seal looks pristine, I'm looking to replace the hinge pin and hope for dry pants in the future.

open the door and see if you can lift it up some from the handle side. or if you need to lift and slam it shut the hinges are bad for sure.

you can also shut the door on a dollar bill, if you find a loose spot that could be the leak.

also seen vids where they put the heater fan on hi shut the doors and windows and spray soapy water on the seals, if it bubbles you got a leak. or maybe they added some pressure, its been a while. seen it on youtube.

Looks like my hinge pin is still good. The pondering continues. If I happen to have a moment of clarity and figure it out I'll share.

My Coupe does this too. The seal looks fine. But a few years ago I washed my car when it was freezing outside. Came out of the gym to only be greeted with a frozen solid car. I think mine only leaks when it's torrential downpour or I use an automatic car wash.

If you're gonna use the soapy bubble way, make sure blower fan is NOT on recirculate. You need to draw air in from outside the car. Recirc. just uses the air already in the car.

Same with me. Even the car wash will leave slight water drop stain on my seats but not much.

Any car will do that. When you open the door after washing it water is going to run down onto the seals and freeze.

The key is either don't wash your car when it is freezing outside, or wipe the seals down as soon as you are done washing it.
