Plasti dip is nothing new but ive been using it for a lil over a year now just doing lil projects nothing big. I love it bc its completely peelable and will not damage the paint under it. I also use the Rust-Oleum FlexiDip which is the same thing. Some paintings were good, others could've been better, but I free handed all of this so you'll noticed most of the colors are faded into each other which I prefer anyway. Colors are mostly Red/Black bc that's my theme with a lil Grey incorporated in some pieces bc my car is Grey. these are all different Grilles that I have extra between my two Regals and as you'll see the grilles are what I mainly painted. Yes, all the Grilles are on standby for whenever I feel the need of change....LOL and plenty of emblems on standby also. Well If you haven't done so yet try out the Plasti-Dip, if you have a regret than just peel it off.

Excuse The rear Break light housings, just took off some nasty L.E.D. strips that in no shape or form wanted to come off. heat gun caused a few cracks but new replacements on the way.

Roof trim is Dipped with Black(original roof trim was all Grey).

Gotta few other lil projects coming along, but I figured i'll post these. Posted my car pics so you could see my black/Red theme. Im nowhere a painter so bare with my poor painting skills. most of these i'll probably redo.

Just wanted to share, Here's some pics:

How do you like the Rustoleum vs the Plastidip? Any noticeable differences in fade or toughness?

im not feeling any of the emblems, or the red on the grill.

id paint the grill black, loose all the emblems.

are those century grills or LS grills with the chrome trim? those have some potential.

Not bad but I'd lose the red and maybe less badges. I love plasti dip and I use it on everything lol. Here's a tip, if you ever replace your trailing arm brackets, control arms and other ****, DIP IT!!! Never gonna see rust there again!

I thought the car looked a lil cheesy also but in person its not that bad. the only emblems ive added were the L67 3.8 on the rear bumper and the SuperCharged factory emblem in the back was just Dipped. The rear trunk lid SuperCharged emblem looks better in person, the camera is not the best quality. The emblems inside the door on the foot step is something I just added a few months back(reason why....my buddy has a 2005 XJR Jaguar with a big Jaguar emblem on the inside door foot step which I liked and I had a bunch of emblems just laying around so I put them to use). At first I just had the long SuperCharged emblem and then I added the big L67 3.8 next to it.

the good thing is that you can only see the foot step emblems once you open the door, so from the outside of the car its just the L67 3.8 emblems in the rear and the factory dipped supercharger emblem on the trunk. My car is grey so the red/black theme really stands out. Im not into the de-badging thing bc I think it enhances the look of the car, but its still very well a sleeper. most people don't even notice the Dipped supercharged emblem on the rear trunk lid an the L67 3.8 on the sides most people have know idea what it means. people are still dumb founded when I pull from the line.

Aye Scott, the Blacked out grille is already in the making. it'll be my best one. I had added the Supercharged emblems to those grilles only bc I was experimenting and again had extra emblems to waste(thanks to Ebay). honestly I don't like the supercharged emblems on the grilles but once I put them on I didn't want to risk pulling them off tearing the Plasti-Dip though I probably could take it off bc the dip is pretty tough stuff. The Grille colors only compliment the theme of the car and the color of the car. The red wheel lug nuts I did over a year ago just to compliment the rear bumper L67 3.8 emblems bc they were pretty lonely. I have Black lug nuts with red caps also, I swap them out from time to time.

really in the begining I didn't like the red color on my car( except for the rear bumper L67 3.8 emblems, ive always loved them in that spot) but after a while this theme grew on me

If plastidip rips. You can take prep wipe. Put it on the ripped edges it'll melt it down. Let it dry. And then you can spray over it fuses right in and you can't even tell there was a rip

but its nothing about my car that says its supercharged until I pull off. Unless your an L67 driver most people have no idea what L67 means( lol theres even people out there with SC 3800 motors and still have no idea that there engine code/type is L67). So im good as far as maintaining my SLEEPER profile...with just a lil black & Red to compliment it

Bear in mind that for every person who likes plastidip, theres another who laughs and points every time they see it on a car. The rear spoiler, red lugs, and front LEDs are the cheesiest items I can spot. I think the emblems look awful with the texture and without a contrasting color on the letters. Striped grill is sort of interesting though. Nice Buick, keep it tasteful.

all i care about is if some honda with a fart can is driving like a fool i can nail the gas and he can go wtf was that? as i blow past and let him hear the whine. ive made a few of them guys break their necks to look lol

other wise idc who knows im supercharged. why advertise? cops dont give me a second look 99% of the time and i like it that way.

Yeah the rear spoiler is kind of cheesy but that's temporary until I get one fabricated and bolted on which will be the same exact configuration with possibly a lil more lip. though the regals look like they have some sort of spoiler already integrated from factory I actually like the look of the spoiler(but again the custom bolt on one is coming soon). The red lug nuts are a bit cheesy too but they have grown on me, ill install the black lug nuts which should look a bit better probably when I do my when bearings.

LOL the LEDs are a long story. long story short I was gonna put them in the headlight but I was unsure if I could get the headlights to cure properly plus I thought to myself "every body is putting them in their headlights" so I settled for putting them under the fog lights which I had to drill a small hole for the wires. now I stuck with two holes which keeps me from removing the lights(well I can if I repair the holes, but otherwise I just don't want two bare holes in plain view).

I appreciate the criticism though bc now I know where I can approve and make some adjustments. The SuperCharged emblem in on the rear trunk lid really doesn't look that bad though. I could've painted the emblem just like I painted my brake calipers but honestly I wasn't going for a professional and/or cleaner look. I actually wanted the rugged look plus I can change it back to original whenever I want. But you just gave me an idea, since I do have multiple Supercharged emblems I might just take one and paint it with actual paint(VHT and clear coat, plenty left over from brake calipers).

But yeah guys none of this is permanent which is why I chose to use plasti-Dip. Its more like experimentation. I wanted to dip the window trim matt black, its not bad looking at all for 14yrs but after 14yrs its not as black as it should be. Cheaper than GM or any other vender($6 for a can of dip).

All in all my goal is to just be different from all other cars especially the other trillion regals on the road you see every day. i don't really want to stand out but I do wanna look different.

Plasti-Dip has way more colors but the Rust-oleum lays down much more smoother and cleaner. Home Depot says Plasti-Dip is being discontinued in their stores and replaced by the Rust-oleum(which are producing more colors as we speak). You can still get Plasti-Dip from like Amazon, other retail stores and of course dipyourcar.com

I agree scotty. I could care less also about who knows that im supercharged bc at the end of the day they'll hear it anyway especially if I want them to. and yeah the cops never give me a second look either until they see me pick up speed. My cosmetic theme look is far from signs of being supercharged, lol unless black/red accents mean something more than I thought.

at the end of the day when most see a Buick Regal or any Buick for that matter, they automatically have no worries bc its just a Buick. This is personally how I want them to think, LOL they can think this way all they want
