I'm really tired of my dealership logo on my trunk. There is an old thread on the how to section about this but it got moved and the link is dead.

Does anyone know how to do this and get it off all the way?

I'm seriously sick of don darr here

leave it parked in the sun, or warm it with a hair drier then pick at a corner with your finger nail. after its off you'll see a outline of the decal and will need to buff and wax the area to make it all match.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

I think we used paint thinner on my trunk and wiped it up soon after.

Depending on how long its been there, it may leave a ghost that won't go away without paint damage. The preferred method is a stripe removal wheel, used as gently as possible. If you hack off the Jesus fish you should be able to get the adhesive off from that the same way. FWIW, my GT had one of those decals... and I am a good buffer... but there was no making the paint ghost go away. Just try to peel off what you can with a fingernail or plastic razor blade, then go at the adhesive with solvent such as goo-gone or wax and grease remover. Main thing is don't hurt the clearcoat. Any remaining bits of goo or fine scratches could be handled with some polish after the decal and most of the glue is gone.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

Slowly pick at it with your finger tip after applying a good amount of heat with a regular old hair dryer. Take your time and do it little by little, don't get ahead of yourself. I had done this not too long ago to a sticker that was in the exact same spot as OP's.
