Im not 100% sure on how to read compressor maps. So ill see if I can get some help. I want to find out what would be a good turbo for a daily driven street car? Not going for crazy numbers. Maybe between 300-350whp

i would go with a t4 frame with a low 60mm compressor size. something like a 60-1 62-1 or T61. borg warner, precision, etc. personal opinion is to stay away from turbonetics.

So your talking about a straight t4 turbo? No hybrid like a t3t4? Probably would be to small.

t3 turbine is too small for the 3800

<------- Uses t3 turbine housing, works just fine.

I would go with a precision 5858 or 6262. 6262 will have room to grow. T3 housing will spool quicker, t4 housing will be marginally easier on trans as boost will be slightly slower coming in. Either will support far more than your current goal.
    Billet 6262 T3 turbo, PT1001 intercooler, ST1 cam, 140 springs, pushrods, N* TB, L26 upper, HV3, otherwise stock L32. 10.007 @ 135.54with 1.46 60' 3130 lbs

t3 in what a/r and what diameter turbine wheel and trim? if cost isnt an issue either of those would be great choices.

any idea how much power your car made on 18psi?

    .63 ar. 62mm exducer.

These new turbos are a definate step above the old 60-1, pt62 etc of old. There would be more back pressure on a older unit I suspect. And the compressors just move more air now.

Not sure on power, only time I had it on dyno I had fuel pressure issues. Made 465 rwhp on 15lbs on a mustang dyno misfiring and knocking from being lean. Could feel the misses in the car.

Hp calculators put 3130lbs at 580-590 hp for 134.44 mph. That would be dynojet hp. I'd expect low-mid 500 rwhp on a mustang, and it pulls even harder at 24psi lol. Finally have a trans to put up with the power, but my converter I had built was eating around 80hp last summer. Lost 8mph at same boost over the Zzp 3250 I was running on the 134 mph pass. Precision cut the converter back apart, said they knew what they missed on the first time, so we will see. Hoping for easy 9s and closer to 140mph this summer.

the TR has .82 AR T3 exh with 70mm inducer compressor side.

dont hold me to it but i believe our turbine is 65mm

on my WaGN im using something quite similar (70mm compressor, Q exhaust) but with the buick turbine housing and not the std t3 stuffs.

it amazing the kinda crap im doing to make this look like a "regular" LC2 turbo buick drivetrain swap but with all FWD 3800 stuff rofl

if its a .57a/r compressor it should be a t04b cover. it will work but probably wont be optimal. still more efficient then the m90. its just hard to say without knowing the compressor size as that housing could be used on everything from 40 to 57mm

Low HP expectations with a turbo setup..

Even with the T4 T67 .68ar mutt turbo from ZZP/Stattama and ST5 cam, lag was very minimal. Drove fine on some 200+ mile trips,
and around town, on the highway, ect. Perfect to me for daily driving it seemed.

No idea what your budget is.. or if will change up plans later.. or preference in turbos. New/used/china whatever, time frame, ect. but..

Can always keep an eye out @ http://shop.precisionturbo.net/index...ochargers.html

Can sometimes score a decent deal on a new or refurb unit.

if money isnt an issue the 6262 cea from precision is a good choice and should support 500+ WHP. i wouldnt sub that air to water for a good front mount though.
