how difficult and costly would it be to build a 700 hp 3800? I'm assuming about 5000 for the stattama turbo, what else would be needed and maybe an estimate.

Figure you'll need an entirely unobtainum built trans at like $7000 plus heads, cam, injectors, E85...so maybe 11k?

I'm actually not worried about the trans, thinking about doing this on an 4th gen F body Camaro or Firebird. The 4L60 can be built to hold ~700 hp for like 3500 dollars. There is no E85 here, so I would probably have to do a methanol shot.

Do you think it would hit 700 with the turbo, heads, cam, bigger injectors and methanol?

I would PM that twin engine guy from Canadialand. He made a GP run like 10's on stock injectors and stuff. He might be a valuable resource.

if it took 2 turbos to make 800, how feasible is 700 hp on one turbo?

With longitudinal setup twin turbo would be easy.

It could be done with a nice nice turbo, heads, cam, big Intercooler, fuel would be a problem. E85 would be ideal; however, you could run meth / race gas...

It's not a problem making the power, it's a problem holding the power. AKA the trans.

Yeah if RWD your fine, they make adapter plates to bolt up TH400s and what not. The trans wont be a problem. Money is your only issue now

Go with a s/c and turbo I have all the confidence in the world u could hit 700 a built 4L60 can handle it and would be better for a duel purpose street strip /turbo 400 if strip only or even turbo 350.
