higher 11's but on e85 you shouldnt have too much trouble making over 350+ whp. it will be the L36 bottom end that holds you back i was always scared to turn mine up past 13psi. next thing it will need is some help breathing.

How could I improve the breathing? And is there anything I could do for the bottom end?? I have a supercharger motor I could take parts out of but I doubt the bottom ends would be much different. I was also just on the intense racing website and they have ported lower intakes is that something I should invest in or is there not that big of a difference?

the bottom end of the supercharged motor is lower compression then the N/a motor. the heads cc's are the same. i would stick a cam, valve springs, timing set in it to improve breathing. ported intake isnt going to make much difference.

Just use ls7 lifters. Oer lifters only work well if you have adjustable rockers. No point in upgrading from stock rockers unless you are spending the big bucks on adjistables. Just run stock, and measure your pushrod length.

I would switch to titanium retainers with 150# springs. I don't really like the Manley retainers that intense sells. Comp cams makes a better retainer.

seems like back in the day the thought was the L36 wasnt good for much past 400 WHP before the bottom end would fail.

Yup! I bought a st5 cam with 150# springs going on the heads, and a double timing chain. GTPpower where can I get the comp cams retainers?? Zzp doesnt sell the titaniums.

well if thats the case you should be well on your way to testing the ability of the L36 to hold power. you shouldnt have any issue making 500 on that valve train and turbo. i hope you bought some head studs as well...

my scans say im running 49lb/minute of air at 6300. not sure how accurate that is its right at the upper edge of what the pt61 is capable of supplying. its at about 60% efficiency so yeah.

it should be noted that if you turn it up that high the bottom end probably wont last very long. also, you are going to need a serious transmission

Yup I got a transmission build coming real soon, is there anyway I can get the bottom end to last, I only plan to turn it up at the track.
