I know this is about grand prixs, but same car i have the 2005 ss impala. .. i recently bought a z3 turbo kit from zzp. Caught the black Friday deal, i see a lot of post about the transmission. I already have the l67 and will be removing the supercharger rotors and using the intercooler block off plate. Has any one done this swap, also since i already have the 4t65-e hd should i expect trans problems?

Well you should always expect trans problems.

You might get away with it for awhile.

But with any turbo kit, you'll be wanting a transmission upgrade. They're always the weak link.

In other words, don't beat on it... i recently had the trans rebuilt. No custom parts... new input clutch drum and valve body but that's it. ..

You can make it last if you drive it right and don't turn up the boost right away.

Did you get the non-ic'd version? If so, and you run on pump gas, the trans will probably last quite a while.
