Has anyone here run a vs cam with their turbo setup? I am going turbo pretty soon and would like to see what you guys think about it. I already have it in there and love the power band it has now with my current supercharged setup. I am running l76 springs with it right now. Any issues with those on a turbo setup? I have read where some people recommend a little stiffer spring with a turbo. Any advice will be appreciated.

Parts I have now are front and rear power logs, z7 crossover, hx35 turbo, and an ebay intercooler.

Just about anything works with a turbo.....I would say upgrade to at least #105 springs and enjoy, makes for a simple install.

Not the best cam choice but its a lot better than stock.
It certainly isn't going to hurt you, but you will make a good bit more power with a better (more turbo specific) cam.

The biggest thing holding you back will be that little HX35.
Before DH comes in here and tells you he was making 600whp with an HX35... I'm telling you that you'll be lucky to break 320-330whp on 93 with that turbo and your cam.

Alright guys thanks for your input. I will be using the hx35 for now since i already have it. I can always upgrade later if I feel the need. I think I will be on the hunt for some 105's as well as some trans parts. Good to hear the vs will at least be alright.

Just think at all the money you would have saved by going turbo first instead of modding with that inefficient blower. You will love the new found power.

the big difference here is, most people dont have the money to drop for a turbo kit up front. They do however have the money to currently mod that "inefficient" blower.

you can say, save and buy parts as you go until you have the parts. again not many people have the patience for that.

I had no problem running 10s with a HX35. Its a good turbo for mid to low 400whp with a big intercooler or e85.
