I purchased a z7 kit from another member on this forum , finally get everything on the car and the turbo smokes really bad ,( yes i have a oil restrictor ). We think its a blown turbo seal. So im looking into a t67 from stattama, i have a 5 bolt flange. Exhaust piping is 2.5" , that being said would a T67 be to much ? My support mods are : st3 cam , zzp stage 3 heads , hv3 , 80lb injectors , fuel logs , powerlogs ect. If a t67 is alittle to big what turbo would you suggest ? Thanks -tyler

I liked the Precision PT61 on my Cartuning kit and it had the potential to hit the 500whp mark but for me I wanted to run a little bigger turbo...more flow at lower boost level. There are about a million different options out there for you and it's all going to come down to personal preference.

I'd suggest just spending the $350 ish for a complete rebuild and rebalance and enjoy it for a while. If you don't think it's enough turbo after that you can always upgrade down the road.

Everyone that seems to make the jump to that size of turbo seems to love that they made the jump and never look back. With my Stattama kit it has a T66 turbo with it and that's what I'll end up running.

Like I said...I have PT61 and I wanted to bump up to a bigger turbo

What HP goals are you looking for? I was going to get a comp CT4 6265 per Justin @ comp turbo's recommendation until I got a very good deal on a used precision 6262.

A t67 is not a big turbo.. Let's make that fact known.

Hx40 is a good size. But still in the same boat as a t67...not as big as it could be.

a T67 is a 600whp+ turbo.. completely pointless for any car not planning on making 600 on "low boost" and 700+ on high boost.

Most fwd guys cant use more than 425whp anyway, get something small, cheap, reliable, runs well on a stock converter/trans instead of the mess that is a T67... Unless you want to go for "huge" power on slicks.
