Is it smarter to construct my own turbo setup or spend 3 grand on a kit from ZZP?

its usually cheaper to construct your own setup. piping you can find on the boards. same with the turbo. oil feed line, wastegate, intercooler and piping can be had for about 200? you could probably make a decent setup for around 1500 or so

Part of the cost of the Z3 kit is not having to do the research and having a complete kit with warranty and a reputable point of contact for questions. If you are unsure or don't know what a wg/bov actually do, then constructing your own kit may not pay off in the end.

Ok i noticed your signature said weak fuel pump. If i kept my stock fuel pump from a 06 could i even push 9 psi. If i could how long would it last?

It'd be fine, I'm running E85 which requires more fuel and I had some gummed up crap in the tank that killed the pump as well.

Im really new to turbos... All I know is how they function. Is the z3 kit easy to replicate? If so ill just get the dp, crossover, and wastegate. All id need is advice on inlet piping and intercooler piping. And id probably just get ZZPs oil line kit
