^^ Im tossing the idea around. Been researching like crazy, seriously considering. Sounds like a great power route to go. Granted it will probably be a ways away still, especially since a beefed up trans is coming first.. That being said, IF (and possibly when) I decide to go turbo route, which of my mods can I keep? And can i keep building up my N/A with compatible parts (if so what kinds).

Currently, I have pacesetter headers, a FWI, and an HV3. (and a tune but thats irrelivent as it will have to be redone anyway)

Also any other tips, hints advice, whatever you want to call it would be more than welcome to myself, and anyone else that looks into this as well I'm sure.

You can keep the HV3, the rest will need to go.

I really wouldn't put anything else on until you get ready to turbo, besides maybe some gauges and a gauge pod...

That sounds like a good setup for a turbo'd car.

What do you specifically want to know?

My advice-If you would be happy with 12's then go with a top swap. If you are looking for a bit more or want to make your car a fun cruiser then move forward with the turbo kit.

IMO the time, labor, and (lack of) reliability of a top swap makes 12's seem like a turbo is a much more obvious and cheaper route to go.

What causes reliability issues with a top swap?

Using used parts in questionable condition? Yes.

Stock parts failing due to abuse? Can't get around that one.

Non factory headgaskets / the fact alot of people leave coolant all over their motor when they do a top swap.

Its better when you can put something together and do it in less parts than the factory!

From what I hear around this forum... you can turbo your car for about $800 and make 450whp or more EZ. I'm told that there needs to be extra emphasis on the "EZ" section of the description.

    Go for it!

LMAO, kinda like people saying a ZZP tune will blow your engine up.
