So you're keeping that black carbon fiber hood black........on a red car??? SMH
must be nice!
you're only gonna see it until the turbo spools
Getting close :) I love the carbon fiber.
Shoot, maybe it was the LT1 at the time. I was thinking to myself, the LS1 is aluminum, it should be lighter. It was probably about 10 years ago when he changed to the 3800. Though I almost thought there was a cast iron version of the LS1 people use on extreme builds cause he was going for crazy power over 1000hp.
there were a handful of iron-block 5.3L motors as far as i know. i worked on one in school, i want to say it was like a pre-production LSx based block. the heads looked like LS1 heads, and they were aluminum.
Never heard of or seen an iron ls1 block, the LS1 was 5.7 and the 5.3 can be had in iron just go find pretty much any 1500 GM pickup.
Anyways back to the OPs topic before this gets to be a mess.................
LSX is iron....
the legendary LS3's??? because I know the v8 out of a silverado (the ls3) is now a firebird/camaro owners desired motor.
I think it's the same as having a supercharged L32/36 vs a supercharged L67 kinda the same. but ones better.
Right??
