Just curious, what's the average cost (not including transmission) of going turbo? I was going to just stick with my supercharger build but lately I've been considering a turbo too.

turbo kits alone can run to about $3500, which includes alot but even if you use a cheaper kit or there is more modding to do a few thousand isnt excactly pocket change...
'04 Chevy Silverado LT 4x4 - intake, headers, full exhaust, zo6 cam, 799 heads, tune, leveled, 33's
'00 Grand Prix GTP DAYTONA 500 - L36 block, S1X, intercooled, GenV, N*, headers, full exhaust, coilovers, 5 speed swap, stage 3+ clutch

Im doing mine for 1k minus tranny.

The main problems as far as cost is the downpipe and crossover. The other stuff can be had cheap, like the powerlogs and other things. If you can find someone to make your downpipe and crossover you are set for a lot cheaper build.

Making the dp and crossover. Those are the most expensive parts of the build if i were to buy from zzp.

My turbo kit was sub 2k. Just look for deals on used low mile kits. Although be careful because some of the kits ive seen go up lately are beat to hell.

+ Hes doing an ebay turbo that right there drop price dramatically.

Speed is an addiction the faster you go the slower it becomes.

I heard twin-charging wasn't worth it because you can't use both at the same time? Aren't the ebay turbos crap or did you find a good one? If I can actually do it for under or around I grand...I might go for it.

No twin charging gets the turbo goin. IDK, just keeping my options open. I just dont want massive turbo lag. The ebay turbos arent the best, but they look well constructed IMO so im gonna see how they work out.
