Awesome! I've been reading Jerry's tuning notebook, seems like a pretty solid resource. Is there any pitfalls to be aware of when starting?

dont waste your time or gas on the table modifier thingy. best learn how to tune. we got the drop box bin depository link set up in tuning section. take a tune off there and make it yours. injector and maf tuning is easy.

Imo, jerrys writeup is a good introduction. It describes the basic areas you want to touch, and how to modify them. It may not be 100% correct, but it should still be read by a beginner.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2sh4vn5u0o..._109h.doc?dl=0 this tuner manual goes into detail for tuning with dhp. reads much like jerrys, but your making the changes, you dont use the table modifier.

Thank you for that link! The drop box is a great resource, that's where I found Jerry's tuning guide, but I hadn't found that one. I'm just doing as much reading as I can lol. What Bin file should I start with? I saw a bunch of 99 L67 bins in the dropbox, also saw a cartuning file but it appeared to be an hpt file. Or is there a better file I should use. Also what are the string of numbers listed in the bin file name for?

The named folders are tuned. You cant use hpt files. Only bin files.

from looking at known turbo tunes from like zzp and other sc tunes. theres not much of a difference.

the key to making it your own is you need to tune your maf, injectors if you up graded them, and your timing. those 3 things you leave stock or install the new maf or injector files if those are upgraded.

dhp is nice how you open two bin files side by side, and drag the modded file right to your bin file.

2006 here so you got me beat by a little bit. i ran an ls1 maf for a long time but was getting pretty close to maxing it out on 15psi.

My wife approves of my purchases... Mostly because I buy stuff like floormats for her car while I'm at it. Lol

I think what she's mostly excited about is the cam and headers.

War is N/A, there are no upgrades for his car. His wife lets him buy windshield wipers and air freshners, he... is not a man.
